Prevention of Sexual Exploitation of Girls, Boys and Adolescents in the Tourism Sector
In this context, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) seeks to raise awareness among regional and local authorities, tourism service providers and the general public, through prevention actions aimed at eradicating this problem in the country.
Actions
- Technical assistance to regional and local governments: we train officials working in regional and local governments on the prevention of sexual exploitation of girls, boys and adolescents in the tourism sector.
- Informative videos: we provide audiovisual material that raises awareness among officials and tourism service providers, and teaches them good practices to prevent the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents.
- Capacity building for tourism service providers: we raise awareness, inform and transmit good practices to tourism service providers, regarding the prevention of ESNNA.
- Dissemination of the subscription to the codes of conduct against the ESNNA: we disseminate the signatures of the Mandatory Subscription Affidavit of the Code of Conduct against the Sexual Exploitation of Girls, Boys and Adolescents by the legal representatives of the tourism service providers.
- This is in accordance with Law No. 30802, which establishes conditions for the entry of girls, boys and adolescents into lodging establishments, with the objective of guaranteeing their protection and integrity.
