Tour Schedule

3:00 AM – Departure from Huaraz (3,100 m)
  1. Hotel pickup and private transportation via the Carhuaz – Punta Olímpica highway.
  2. Approximate travel time: 3 hours.
  1. Personal and technical equipment check.
  2. Safety and roping briefing.
  1. Initial hike on the rocky moraine (approximately 45 minutes – 1 hour).
  2. Crampon placement and glacier entry.
  1. Glacier progression with slopes of 35–45°.
  2. Use of rope, crampons, and ice axe.
  3. 2–3-hour ascent.
  1. Time for photos and to admire the spectacular views: Huascarán, Chacraraju, Ulta, Chopicalqui, and Contrahierbas.
  1. Return via the same route to Punta Olímpica.
