07:00 a.m. – Departure to Caraz (2,250 m)
- Scenic drive through the picturesque Callejón de Huaylas valley.

- Introduction to the local culture and flavors of towns like Yungay and Caraz (famously known as “Caraz Dulzura” for its traditional sweets).

- Registration at the “Portada Parón” control point.
